Scott Walker wins Win. Recall--Not a Referendum on Obama

CNN now projects incumbent GOP Gov. Scott Walker will retain his seat despite a massive recall effort launched by Wisconsin Democrats.  Despite the analysis of many pundits, there is no evidence to indicate that the Wisconsin recall election is in any way a referendum on the prospects of President Obama's re-election campaign.  Obama still leads in state opinion polls and exit polling still suggests that Obama has the majority of support among recall election voters.  State Democratic turnout was lower than usual and the election was dominated by single-issue politics (i.e. unions).

This election was less about a rejection of Democrats and more about a rejection of unions.

More to come soon...
